The car isn't very spacious, but at least the boot is huge. The engine of my Astra is 1.4 16v and have enough power to drive normally. Its very economic, but unfortunately is too loud. Race cars are expensive pieces of kit, and I imagine a lot of the cost has gone into ensuring the OPC goes and feels like one. That said my first car was a mk1.5 Subaru Justy, so I learned the hard way. I've had three vauxhalls, a corsa, which was great and lasted really well, the first Astra, which has three major faults in two years, and the current Astra, which is just fine (it had one minor fault, which turned out to be stones getting caught in the back brakes).
For me, I had to use a 1.4 sxi 2010 for 4 weeks while I was waiting for my car to be built. It was uncomfortable, lack of adjustment on seats, no arm rest etc, slow, rough interior exposed metal, cheap materials, flimsy buttons etc. floppy driving characteristics, loose steering, soft pedals, bad suspension/chassis which encourages weight change which again adds to discomfort etc.
